On Wednesday, 18th March 2026, a strong contingent of Cubit Club members travelled to the Evesham Masonic Centre on Swan Lane to attend the Installation Festival of Elmley Castle Lodge No. 6247 — a show of support for the newly installed Hall Ambassador for Evesham.
The evening saw Bro. Malcolm Banks installed as Worshipful Master, with the Lodge gathering under the mastership of the outgoing W. Bro. W.M. Kimberley PPrGSwdB, who was duly presented with a Past Master’s Millennium Jewel in recognition of his service.
Representing the Cubit Club were W. Bro. Adam Lewis Chairman, W. Bro. Brody Swain — newly appointed Provincial Senior Grand Warden designate and a former Chairman of the Club — W. Bro. Simon Rogers Provincial Mentor and the Club’s founding Chairman, Bro. John Fennell past Chairman and Provincial Membership Officer, W. Bro. Mark Barber Provincial ADC, Bro. Matt Dadge, Bro. James Fletcher, and W. Bro. I.H. Crowder PPrGSwdB LGR, who serves as Mentor and Assistant Secretary within Elmley Castle Lodge itself.

Of particular note, the evening marked a rare occasion with all four Cubit Club Chairmen — past and present — gathered under the same roof. It was a pleasure to be so well represented, and a fine reminder of the bonds that exist across our Province. Our presence was warmly received, and we wish the new Hall Ambassador every success in the role ahead.
Turning out in support of brethren taking up various offices — whether as Hall Ambassador, Provincial appointment, or the chair of King Solomon — is a regular feature of Cubit Club life, and this evening was another fine example of that tradition. If you would like to join us on a future visit, keep an eye on the Club calendar.
