What is the Cubit Club?

A club providing new and young Worcestershire Masons, mainly but not exclusively, between initiation and installation, with a chance to mix socially with other Masons and share their experiences and offer assistance to one another in a more relaxed environment.

Why are we doing it?

The PGM of Worcestershire indicated that he would like to have a forum for “young Masons” to be able to connect and offer support to one another. This is the key driver of the initiative within Worcestershire Province and the Cubit Club the delivery of that vision.

What do we do?

We run a regular series and mix of events ranging from simple get-togethers for a beer or two, trips to sporting occasions, educational events focusing on the Masonic world & process (but still with a social feel and element of fun) and then on to more inclusive events for Masons and their partners, friends and families.

The main aim of the Cubit Club is not to attract new members to Freemasonry but by focusing on more informal events we have a perfect medium and opportunity to showcase the fun / social side of things.

When are the Events?

The initial focus is getting the word out to prospective new members (hence being here today) via the development various of communication tools  including a website, Facebook, Twitter etc. and planning events for the summer and beyond. You can view current planned events here.

We contact all who register via the website and at cubitclubsec@gmail.com within a few days outlining plans for the future, details of events and passing on details of the website etc….

Where does teh club Meet?

How do i get involved?

What if i have members of my lodge who may be interested?

How much does it cost to join?

The Cubit Club is run my members of a number of lodges so has no permanent “base”, although we were founded at a meeting in The Fountain in at Clent so that could be classed as our “spiritual” home. The majority of meetings / events take place at various locations in and around the Worcestershire Province but some may take us further afield.

You can fill in your details on the Contacts Form here today, leave us a business card, or e-mail us at cubitclubsec@gmail.com

They can simply get in touch with us via the website or email cubitclubsec@gmail.com

As a Worcestershire Mason you are effectively already a member of the Cubit Cub so there is no annual charge. We may look to charge an initial joining fee. More information on this will be available soon.

Some events incur charges similar to the arrangements for regular meetings and festive board and other masonic events, but full details of any costs will be issued with the individual event details.

What if i am an experienced Mason and i still want to get involved?

The main focus of Cubit Club is on Masons, regardless of age, who are between initiation and installation but we aim to be a very inclusive group and membership will be available to all Worcestershire Masons.

How do you intend to get new members?

We run a series of events and info is sent out to all new Masons via the Provincial Mentor to ensure that all Lodge Mentors are aware of the Cubit Club and that new Masons in the Worcestershire Province are invited to join.

This website, Facebook page and Twitter feeds will give a constant flow of info but we also intend to share information with as many lodges as possible via our Cubit Club Ambassadors and other members as well as periodic communications.
